Looking for a class to provide your employees with education on CNC operations?

Join the OptiPro team at the Machine Technology Center for a hands-on experience with a CNC turning machine and the Fanuc Control. Our class offerings include 1 week courses for participants who have little to no experience in CNC operations up to seasoned machinists & programmers.

Course Benefits:
At the end of the week, students will know how to setup a machining center, understand G-Codes used in machining and machine a part they programmed.

Basic CNC Machinist Training Overview

Our training facility offers CNC Mill & Lathe Training Classes. There are no pre-requisites for our Basic CNC Training Courses. Our Intermediate CNC Machining Mill & Lathe Training require students to have completed our Basic CNC Machinist Training Classes.

Intermediate CNC Machinist Training Overview

Topics Covered:
•Set up skills directly
•Tramming a vice straight in the machine
•Tramming the I.D. and O.D. of a part with an indicator
•Checking perpendicularity with your indicator
•Locating the center of a block using an indicator instead of a edge finder

The class will go through three different mill set ups; (1) Have a setup sheet fully detailed; (2) Have a tool list but no set up sheet allowing the students to find the tool projections; (3) the students get a print and that’s it forcing them go in and find everything. Students are given exposure to different types of application specific tooling and work holding.
