OptiPro Systems recently hosted their annual Technology Open House and Steakout on June 19-20, 2019 at the company’s newly-expanded headquarters in Ontario, NY. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new 15,000 square foot Machine Technology Center kicked off the event on Wednesday the 19th at 9:45AM. Over 600 people from companies all over NY State attended the two-day event to celebrate the new center and to see the latest machine tools and manufacturing solutions.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony included speeches from Mike Bechtold (OptiPro President) as well as representatives from local organizations that helped fund the 15,000 building addition, including:
- Brian Pincelli, Wayne County IDA
- Vincent Esposito, Empire State Development
- Guy Nudd, ESL
Leading machine tools from Nakamura-Tome, Fanuc, Kiwa, Yasda, Hyundai-Wia, Flow Waterjet and Swistek ran unique demonstrations that highlighted cutting-edge capabilities that could benefit manufacturing companies. In addition, attendees were able to see demos of the latest Vision Systems from ZEISS O-Inspect and Starrett Precision Metrology in OptiPro’s new Metrology Center.
In conjunction with the grand opening, OptiPro also held their annual Mastercam Rollout, which consisted of short courses on Mastercam 2020, the latest release of the CAD/CAM software. The short courses took place in the company’s new state-of-the-art Mastercam Training Center, which is also located in the new tech center and overlooks the machine tool showroom.
Attendees also enjoyed steak lunch and dinner both days and received free shirts and other giveaways.
